Food and Blanket drive in India-Dec 31, 2021
During our most recent trip to India, the homeless inspired us to do something new. We visited during December, so it was winter there. The weather may have seemed warm to us, but it was cold for the people living in India, especially for the homeless. They did not have blankets or the luxury of heaters. We contacted the Shri Ranchhodrai Jee Mandir in Sarangpur, Ahmedabad. This temple feeds the local impoverished every day using donations or funds. We decided to join them in their endeavors. The temple typically feeds the poor at the temple’s doors at that time, but we told them to try to get as many people as they could to come so we can feed as many people as possible. On the day we visited the temple, we brought along 100 blankets.

Backpack Drive- July – August 2021
Being Positive ran this campaign through New Jersey assemblyman, Joe Danielsen. We take great pride in being able to support underprivileged children. The success of this backpack drive depends upon the community and social organizations, like us. The backpack initiative provides students the opportunity to return to school with everything needed to succeed. From our end, we were able to come up with enough supplies and backpacks to support 50 plus students for this upcoming school year and future school years. We thank everyone that participated and hope to run this campaign again next year! Stay Positive!

The Goal

We invite you to donate, make public posts on our Facebook page, and write inspirational words of appreciation. We are receiving support from AIMS Education, who is assisting us to contact various healthcare departments in local hospitals and medical centers and arranging lunch deliveries from the local restaurants.
